6 Fun and Interactive Holiday Party Ideas for Direct Sales Consultants

If you are in Direct Sales you know how important it is to make your holiday parties fun and interactive around the holiday season. If your party hostess and guests are having a great time at the parties you are demonstrating, they are more apt to book parties from you. Furthermore...studies have shown that when party guests are having a great time at the party...they in turn tend to spend more money buying the products.

When it comes to your parties, there are many theme ideas that you can do that fit with the holiday season. You will need to discuss these ideas with the hostess before putting them into action. Here are a few ideas that I like to do at my parties.

1. Cookie Exchange - Ask each guest to bring 12-24 cookies. After the party is over, allow the guests to exchange cookies with one another. Everyone loves to take home a variety of delicious cookies that they didn't have to bake themselves.

2. Holiday Attire - Ask the guests to wear red, white and green colors or to dress in holiday party wear. Treat the party as a big old night out on the town...everyone loves to get dressed up! If your party host is not willing to do a full blown holiday dress up party...how about just asking the guests to wear colored clothing and Santa hats.

3. Charity - Get involved with a Toys for Tots program or a local Food Bank. Ask guests to bring new toys or canned goods to the party that will be donated to a local charity. During this time of the year, everyone is in a giving mood and they all want to do their part in giving to the less fortunate. Furthermore, you could donate 10% of the party sales to the same charity.

4. Free Gift Wrapping Services - On your party invitations let guests know that you will be providing free gift wrapping services at the party. You can go to your local discount store and pick up wrapping paper, gift bags, ribbons and bows that are inexpensive. A lot of brick and mortal stores offer gift wrapping services around the holidays so you should too!

5. Holiday Ornament Exchange - Ask all guests to bring an inexpensive ornament to the host's party. Allow guests to exchange ornaments or hold a raffle exchange at the end of the party. Each guest should go home with a different ornament than what they arrived with.

6. Holiday Games and Music - During the party ask your host to play holiday music or purchase your own music CD and take it to the party. During your party you can play games that pertain to the lyrics or titles of various holiday songs.

There are so many fun and interactive things you can do at your home parties during this time of the year. Just remember...you want to set up the holiday shopping mood ahead of time with your party hostess.
