Help! My area is saturated with consultants

Do you feel like your area is saturated? Is that the reason you can't seem to get customers? Do you think if you'd started in your business earlier then maybe it won't be so hard to recruit and get customers?

Is there such a thing as saturation? I don't think so. I know about "brand recognition" and that is a great thing for any product or service to have.

When I started with Scentsy in Nov.2009, it was brand spanking new to Canada and completely unknown to the buying public. I had to explain everything;  how a warmer works, how to use the scent bars and so forth.

One year later it's getting a lot easier. You hand someone a catalogue and they've either heard of Scentsy from a friend, family or they have a consultant. Which I really like.

While some may see that as saturation, I see that as brand recognition. It makes my job easier and a lot more fun. I get new customers who have heard of Scentsy but have never seen the product and were wondering what it's all about and I also get customers who have never heard of my products.

A few tips to help you keep customers happy and loyal to you:

*  provide the best customer care you can. There may be many consultants but there's only one you.

*You can offer great deals from time to time exclusively for your customers.

*send  birthday cards and "thank you" notes.

*  develop a unique relationship with your customers and treat each one as special. If it's an old customer, show how much you care by asking after children(if any) by name, how their day was? Your customers will remember you because you care. For new customers, you could show an interest in what they do,etc.

* after a sale, always follow up to seek their opinion on the product. Let them know their opinion matters to you.

*treat your customers like lifetime partners and they'll come back to you.

I hope this helps you go out there and be the best sales consultant you can be. Enjoy the brand recognition your product has in your area. Remember your attitude is the result of your perceptions.
